One of Us (Freakish Moments)

The audio installation «One of us (Freakish Moments)» uses the second person singular to densely narrate—and suggest—accidents and embarrassing situations threatening urban everyday life: everybody can slip and fall an escalator, and we all sometimes fart on the subway. In these moments we are confronted with the physical aspects of our bodies that are never quite under our control and collide with the performance of social roles. The encounter with such familiar states of emergency invokes our own freakish singularity and questions assumptions about normality.
